Johnson, Varco S. 85 of Guntersville, passed away Sunday evening April 28, 2013. Varco graduated from Marshall County High School in 1945. She was a long time member of Haney's Chapel Church and was a member of the Southside Methodist Church. Varco also loved and enjoyed Cross-stitch. She is Survived by her sisters: Betty Newman and Mattie (John) Brown, brothers: Charles Stewart, Tommy Stewart (Wanda) and Johnny Stewart, sister-in-laws: Dorothy Stewart and Robin Stewart. She was preceded in death by: husband: George Johnson, son: William Howard, brothers: Robert Stewart, Chester Stewart and Wayne Stewart, sisters: Doris Allen, Dorothy Kathrin Stewart and Elizabeth Ann Stewart. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations be made to the Marshall Cancer Care Center: 2505 US HWY 431 Boaz, AL 35957. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, April 30, 2013 at Carr Funeral Home from 6 until 8pm.
