Donald Morgan

July 19, 1933 - February 29, 2012

Mr. Donald M. Morgan of Omaha, NE passed away on February 29, 2012. He was 78 years old. He was born July 19, 1933 in Guntersville, AL to James and Bonnie Morgan. Mr. Morgan worked in Guntersville at theaters, the Advertiser-Gleam and delivered the Huntsville Times newspapers. He was a memeber of Masonic Lodge 209 in Marshall County and Lodge 290 in Omaha, NE. He attended school in Guntersville, joined the Air Force after school and after basic training was stationed at Strategic Air Command (SAC) at Offit Air Base, Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Morgan went back to Omaha to work in meat packing and attended night school to be an electrician. He retired and stayed in Nebraska because of being an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his lifelong friend and companion, Louella Gardner of Omaha, NE; brother Joel Morgan (wife Sue) of Guntersville, AL; sister Linda Rankin of Childersburg, AL; cousin Collene Harper; and a host of neices and nephews. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents James and Bonnie Morgan and his brother James Morgan. A graveside service was held March 6, 2012 in Guntersville City Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Visitation was March 6, 2012 prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Officiating was Marshall Masonic Lodge #209.
