Beamon C. Alexander

Beamon Alexander died November 8, 2014 at Marshall Manor in Guntersville where he had been in therapy. He was 79. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Melba, and his daughter, Janet Griebel (Dennis). Born and raised in the Beech/Warrenton area, Beamon was the only child of LD and Estelle Alexander. He attended MCHS and played football for Coaches Chorba and Lee. He was a long-time member of Creek Path Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and faithfully attended the Job Class. Well known as an area carpenter and wrecked car rebuilder, Beamon enjoyed time spent with friends daily at Burger King, on Saturdays with Melba and other couples at Hardees, and monthly with former high school classmates. His memorial service is Wednesday, November 12, 1:00 p.m. at Creek Path Baptist Church with Pastors Rick Douglas and Don Ryan officiating. He will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers are Don Young, Rickey Smith, Tommy Troup, Caleb Graham, Berlun Jackson and Johnny Anderson. Interment is in Diamond Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 11, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
