William E. Hamilton - Age 89 - of Boaz, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Boaz. Service for Mr. Hamilton will be Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2 pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Williams officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directing. Interment will be in Happy Home Cemetery in Guntersville. Visitation for Mr. Hamilton will be Wednesday Evening, September 21, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at Carr Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Brian Smith, Chris Schreij, Lee Culbert, Jason Hamilton, and Justin Hamilton.

William E. Hamilton was born in the State of Alabama, June 3, 1922; the son of Emett and Mary Chaney Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton is survived by 2 sons: Fred Hamilton of Albertville and Jimmy Hamilton (Bet) of Horton; 3 daughters: Willodean Culbert (Richard) of Albertville, Charlotte Smith of Madison, and Gina Tims of Guntersville; 4 brothers: Henry Hamilton of Tuscaloosa, Junior Hamilton (Gladys) of Bryant, Otis Hamilton of New Harmony, and Odis Hamilton (Mable) of Ft. Payne; 1 sister, Geneva Oden of Geraldine; 10 Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Grandchildren. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Hamilton.
