Michael Kirby of Claysville passed away Sunday January 1,2012 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.He was 53.

Michael was born September 3,1958 in Louisana to William Warren & Ester Staley Kirby.He was a retired CPO with the U.S. Navy.He was employed as a support technician with Direct TV.He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.He enjoyed playing computer games,gardening & the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents;Paul & Mary Staley & Raymond & Dorothy Kirby.Step-father;Robert Hicks.Brother;Billy Kirby II.

He is survived by his wife;Norma Harbinson Kirby of Claysville,Al.Mother;Ester Hicks of DeSoto,Il..Children;Allen Harbinson of Guntersville,Al.,James (Charissa) of Guntersville,Al. & Paul(JoAnna) Kirby of Guntersville.5 Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 4,2012 at 2:00pm at Carr's "Chapel In The Pines".Interment with full military honors will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Guntersville,Al. Brother Billy Masters will officiate.Visitation:Tuesday Janaury 3,2012 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Carr Funeral Home,Guntersville.
