Eddie Gipson - Age 55 - of Guntersville, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2011 at Marshall Medical Center North. Service for Mr. Gipson will be Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 2 pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hal Mahan and Bro. Alvin Martin officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directing. Interment will be in Clear Springs Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Gipson will be Tuesday Evening, September 6, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at Carr Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Billy Marks, Shaun Cofield, Billy Gipson Jr., and Sonny Gipson.

James Edward Gipson was born in the State of Alabama, November 27, 1955; the son of Stanley Edward and Willie Jewel Anderson Gipson.

Mr. Gipson is survived by his wife, Mary Gipson, of Guntersville, 1 son, James Gipson, of Guntersville; Brothers: Billy Gipson and his wife, Barbara, of Kilpatrick and Tony Gipson and his wife, Kathy, of Guntersville; and sisters: Carolyn Gipson Cofield, and her husband, Danny, of Albertville and Billie Ann Rankin and her husband, Sherman, of Georgia. Mr. Gipson was preceded in death by his parents, Sonny and Jewel Gipson.
