Howard A. (Hat) Taylor - Age 94 - of Albertville, formerly of Guntersville, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice in Albertville. Service for Mr. Taylor will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 2 pm at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Guntersville with Bro. Mel Strain officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directing. Body will be at the Church at 1 pm. Interment will be in Crestview Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Taylor will be Wednesday Evening, July 27, 2011 from 5 until 7 pm at Carr Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the 1st Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 588, Guntersville, Al 35976 or the Cahaba Shrine Temple, P.O. Drawer 3388, Huntsville, Al 35810.

Pallbearers will be Shriners and Masons.

Howard A. (Hat) Taylor was born in the State of Iowa, October 6, 1916; the Son of James Harvey and Ronda Chaplin Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his Wife, Cessel Taylor, of Albertville; 1 Son, Paul L. Taylor, and his Wife, Susan, of Neaman Lake, Washington; 4 Grandchidlren: Jennifer Moore and her Husband, Jason, Beth Kennedy, Jenna Taylor, and Forrest Taylor; 5 Great-Granchildren: Kendall Moore, Jackson Moore, Blake Kennedy, Austin Kennedy, and Reece George; and a Special Cousin, Lindsey Brayer. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his Parents, James Harvey and Ronda Taylor, and a Daughter, Rhonda Bains.
