Gail Walker Troup - Age 75 - of Guntersville, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Marshall Medical Center North. Service for Mrs. Troup will be Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 2 pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Plunkett and Rev. Terry Wood officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directting. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill #2 Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Troup will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at Carr Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Members of the Guntersville Rescue Squad. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Townson, Harold Powell, Donald Walker, Allen Walker, Eugene Walker, Eric Walker, Marty Vaughn, Tim Hipp, and Larry Frasier.

Gail Walker Troup was born in the State of Alabama, March 3, 1936; the daughter of L.D. and Elna Buchanan Walker.

Mrs. Troup is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Troup; 1 son, Thomas W. Troup and his wife, Ann; 1 daughter, Reita Troup Graham; 5 Grandchildren: Miranda Graham Dawe and her husband, Ethan, Adam Graham, Kathryn Marie Troup, Caleb Guy Graham and his wife, Kimberly, and Andrew Thomas Troup; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Myrick Dawe, Lance Dawe, Drew Dawe, and Brayden Neely Graham; 2 Brothers: Luther Walker and his wife, Sandra, and Harvey Walker; 3 Sisters: Judy Schultz, Karen Rogers, and Susan Hendrix and her husband, Anthony; Sister-in-Law, Edna Walker; Very Special Cousin, Sue Woodham; Special Family Members, Lindsey Hunt and Glen Pike; A Host of Nieces, Great Niecres, Nephews, Great Nephews, and Several Cousins. Mrs. Troup was preceded in death by her parents: Father, L.D. Walker; Mother and Step-Father, Elna Walker Rogers and Robert Rogers; Brother, Wayne Walker; Sister-in-Law, Sadie Walker; and Son-in-Law, Michael Graham.
