Ervin Thomas Jones - Age 71 - of Guntersville, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at his residence. Graveside service for Mr. Jones was held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2 pm at Panquin Cemetery at Grant with Bro. Shirley Byram officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directing. Interment was in Panquin Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Jones was Saturday, April 30 from 1 until 2 pm at Panquin Cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Scott, Van Jones, Randy Jones, Charles Jones, Terry Osborne, and Tony Osborne.

Ervin Thomas Jones was born in the state of Alabama, November 3, 1939; the son of Roy Sanford and Pearlie Louise Byram.

Ervin is survived by 3 sons: Eugene Jones and his wife, Robin, of Guntersville, Roy E. Jones and his wife, Evelyn, of Guntersville, and Jesse L. Jones and his wife, Shannon, of Hulaco; 2 Daughters: Diane Sandwell and her husband, John, of Arab, and Denise Venable and her husband, Billy, of Arab; 15 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Brothers: Herman Jones of Albertville, Rickey Jones of Albertville, and Levoied Jones of Scottsboro; and 2 Sisters: Olene Osborne and her husband, Junior, of New Hope and Dorothy Long and her husband, Wayne, of Grant. Ervin was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Jones; Parents: Sanford ande Pearlie Jones; Brothers: Charles Jones and J.D. Jones; and a sister-in-law, Becky Jones.
