Elsie D. Davis - Age 94 - of Guntersville, passed away on
Friday, August 12, 2011 at Hartselle Medical Center in Hartselle,
Alabama. Service for Mrs. Davis was Sunday, August 14, 2011
at 2 pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joel Samuels
officiating and Carr Funeral Home Directing. Interment was in
Crestview Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Davis was Sunday,
August 14, 2011 from 12 until 2 pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel.
Pallbearers were Jason Davis, Nathan Davis, Whit Wisner, Jonnie
Ray Baxter, Winford Slaton, and Curtis Davis.
Elsie D. Davis was born in the State of Tennessee, November 30,
1916; the daughter of Jeff Mayburn and Georgia Gooch
Davis.
Mrs. Davis is survived by 2 Daughters: Myra Gazaway and her
Husband, Jim, of Huntsville and Sherry Davis and her Husband, Gwin,
of Guntersville; 4 Grandchildren: Jason Edwin Davis and his Wife,
Hollie, Nathan Alex Davis, Leslie Wisner and her Husband, Whit, and
Kenny Kennamer; and 5 Great-Grandchildren: Rachel Kennamer, Jake
Kennamer, Jaye Ellen Davis, Ellie Davis, and Ivey Davis. Mrs.
Davis was preceded in death by her Husband, Jay T. Davis; a
Grandson, Charles Kennamer; and a Granddaughter, Lindsey Ann
Davis.
